Job summary

Burford Corp. is seeking a Machinist to program/run CNC mills in our Maysville, OK facility. You will use Fadal and Okuma machines, read blueprints, and maintain tight tolerances to produce quality parts.

The role requires at least two years of related experience, CAM software proficiency (FeatureCAM preferred), and good math skills. This is a day shift position with company-paid benefits available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related machining experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with CAM software; FeatureCAM preferred.
• Proficient in shop mathematics and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Operate a machining cell with a Fadal VMC 4020 and an Okuma M560.
• Set up and run CNC machines per blueprints and specs.
• Maintain dimensions and tolerances throughout process.
• Complete work per production schedule.
• Inspect and measure parts to verify specs.
• Adjust controls for accuracy and quality.
• Perform finishing operations (filing, sanding, shaping).
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Read precision tools like calipers and micrometers.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety policies.

The Machinist will program/ run CNC mill machines, demonstrating proficiency in applying basic machining principles & use of precision measuring equipment. This is a day shift opportunity.

Please note this position is located in Maysville, OK.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate a machining work cell equipped with a Fadal VMC 4020 and an Okuma M560.
• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Maintain required dimensions and close tolerances throughout the machining process.
• Complete assigned work according to the established production schedule.
• Inspect and measure machined workpieces to verify conformance with specifications and quality standards.
• Adjust machine controls, settings, and guides as needed to maintain accuracy and quality.
• Perform finishing operations, including filing, sanding, shaping, and cleaning machined parts.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Accurately use and read precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years related working experience
• Experience using CAM software; FeatureCAM experience is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to perform shop math and calculate dimensions and tolerances accurately
