ALL ABOUT THE MACHINISTS

The CNC machinist is responsible for setting up and machining quality parts in a safe manner to produce parts that meet Specialty Manufacturing standards using Nakamura/Swiss-Citizen machines in a timely manner while minimizing the waste of materials and resources. You will work in a clean and safe ISO certified manufacturing facility.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machining equipment.
  • Operate multi-spindle/multi-axis turning centers.
  • Set up and operate precision testing and measuring instruments.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit and stand for a continuous period.
  • Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with loud noise.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

We have some amazing on-the-job training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a CNC machinist at the company. But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

  • Understand and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Understand applicable measurement methods.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CNC experience required.
  • Swiss style turning experience a huge plus.
