Northeast Tool & Manufacturing in Matthews, NC is hiring CNC Machinists to set up, operate, and troubleshoot sophisticated CNC equipment for precision aerospace components. You’ll read blueprints, verify tolerances, and manage tooling and calibration while ensuring high-quality output.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of CNC experience, strong measurement skills, and a safety-conscious mindset. We offer multiple shifts with premiums for 2nd and 3rd shifts and a commitment to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years CNC machining in metal-cutting environment.
• Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines including tooling, offsets, and first-piece inspections.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T to tight tolerances in aerospace components.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

Responsabilités

• Operate CNC equipment (5-axis mills, multi-axis mill-turns, lathes, Wire EDM) to produce aerospace components.
• Follow blueprints and specifications to maintain required tolerances.
• Set up tooling, offsets, recalibration, and monitor wear.
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and similar tools.
• Load/unload materials and finished parts; perform deburring and secondary ops.
• Document production details and maintain clean 5S workplace.

Position SummaryConveniently located in Matthews, NC, just outside Charlotte, Northeast Tool & Manufacturing is seeking CNC Machinists to support our growing aerospace manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC equipment to machine precision aerospace components while maintaining strict quality and dimensional requirements. Ideal candidates will have experience interpreting blueprints, performing inspections, working with tight tolerances, and supporting continuous process improvement. Opportunities are available across all shifts, including a $1/hour premium for 2nd shift and a $2/hour premium for 3rd shift positions.What You’ll DoOperate CNC equipment, including 5-axis mills, mills, multi-axis mill-turns, lathes, and Wire EDM machines to produce precision metal components.Follow blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions to manufacture parts within required dimensions and tolerances.Set up and maintain tooling, including tool changes, offsets, recalibration, and monitoring tool wear.Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments and digital measurement tools to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.Monitor machine performance, identify machining issues or out-of-tolerance conditions, and make adjustments or escalate concerns as needed.Perform secondary operations such as deburring, cleaning, tapping, and countersinking.Load and unload materials and completed parts from machining centers.Complete required production documentation and maintain a clean, organized work area through 5S and preventive maintenance practices.What We Are Looking ForHigh School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a metal-cutting manufacturing environment.Experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machining equipment, including tooling selection, offsets, and first-piece inspections.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T while working to tight tolerances in a precision manufacturing environment.Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other inspection equipment, with the ability to obtain consistent, accurate, and repeatable measurements.Experience machining complex, close-tolerance components in a precision manufacturing environment.Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality, safety, continuous improvement, and established manufacturing procedures.Even BetterAssociate's degree in Machine Tool Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field preferred.Experience working in an AS9100-certified manufacturing environment preferred.Experience with multi-axis, including simultaneous 5-axis, CNC machining; experience with DMG Mori, Haas, Heller, and/or Okuma equipment preferred.Experience holding tight tolerances of 0.0002\" to 0.0005\" preferred.Not sure if you meet every requirement?
