RUSS HADICK & ASSOCIATES INC is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a turbine components manufacturer in Mason, OH. The role involves setting up and operating CNC lathes, performing tool changes, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances on aerospace drawings.

You will inspect parts with micrometers and dial indicators, troubleshoot issues, mentor teammates, and contribute to a safe, efficient shop environment. This on-site role offers a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years CNC lathe experience.
• Proficient with setups, tooling, and on-machine edits without step-by-step instruction.
• Strong inspection skills with manual measuring tools.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve machining issues independently.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to assist and guide others.

Responsabilités

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with minimal supervision (Femco, Haas, Okuma, Doosan).
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor edits directly at the machine.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and maintain part quality.
• Conduct 100%-dimensional inspection using micrometers, height stands, calipers, bore mics, and dial indicators.
• Read and interpret aerospace blueprints and drawings.
• Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and customer requirements.
• Support and mentor team members; meet production targets without sacrificing quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

CNC Machinist

A manufacture of turbine engine components like turbine nozzles, turbine vanes, complete turbine engines (both manufacturing and repair), diffusers, honeycomb seals and segments, heat shields, and parts for various turbomachinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with minimal supervision (Femco, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, manual, VTL)
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor edits directly at the machine
• Troubleshoot machining issues, make decisions independently, and maintain part quality
• Perform 100%-dimensional inspection using tools such as:
  • Micrometers
  • Height stands
  • Calipers
  • Bore mics
  • Dial indicators
• Read and interpret complex aerospace blueprints and part drawings
• Ensure parts are produced to tight tolerances and customer requirements
• Support and mentor other team members when needed
• Meet daily and weekly production targets without sacrificing quality
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Required Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Minimum 5 years CNC lathe experience
• Proficient with setups, tooling, and on-machine edits without step-by-step instruction
• Strong inspection skills with manual measuring tools
• Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and resolve machining issues
• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to assist and guide others

Preferred (Not Required) Skills

• Background in aerospace is a plus.
• Machinist certification (e.g., NIMS or equivalent)
• CNC programming experience (G-code, conversational, or CAM-based)
• CNC milling machine experience (Doosan, Haas, Makino)
• Wire EDM knowledge or experience (Makino)
