Job summary

MD&A in Marion, Ohio is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. The role requires setup and operation of CNC and manual machines, reading blueprints, and machining large components with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate has CNC lathe/mill or VTL experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment and must be able to work 2nd shift with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience CNC machining in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing complete machine setups.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of machining tolerances and shop math.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools.
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform machining operations on large industrial components.
• Operate vertical and horizontal machining equipment.
• Utilize precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges.
• Perform machine adjustments, tooling changes, and offsets.
• Complete production documentation and labor tracking.
• Conduct routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow all company quality and safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathes, mills, or Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs) in a manufacturing, machining, turbine repair, or heavy industrial environment.

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday from 4pm – 3am (44 hours)
• Monday – Thursday from 5pm – 4am (44 hours)

+Friday hours from 4pm – 12am (8 hrs.)

+Saturday hours from 2pm – 10pm (8 hrs.)
