Machinist Job Summary:

Operates milling machines and has knowledge of tooling and materials required to create setups on machine tools such as milling machines, grinders, lathes, and drilling machines.

Responsibilities:

• Make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed, and path of the cut.
• Ensure machines are set up properly, functioning well, and producing quality products.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they are defect-free and ready for the next production step.
• Read schematics accurately.
• Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
• Detect malfunctions and troubleshoot issues.
• Maintain manual dexterity.
• Work accurately and precisely.
• Use repair tools, test machinery, and equipment effectively.
• Have knowledge of metals and their properties.
• Stand for long periods as required.

Qualifications:
