Job summary

Randstad USA in Minnesota is seeking a skilled Machinist for 1st shift to set up and operate CNC Swiss and milling machines, ensuring tight tolerances and quality finishes. The role includes independent part inspections, tool monitoring, and adherence to SOPs and QMS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years with CNC Swiss turning (Star, Tornos, Tsugami) or CNC milling (Haas, Mazak, Brother) and CAM software.
• Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year.
• First shift availability and clean room or shop floor awareness may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine setups to produce products, ensuring consistent results through accurate timekeeping, tool monitoring and statistical control methods.
• Complete independent parts inspections to confirm customer requirements using inspection methods, including microscope.
• Identify material, production and safety issues that may impact the schedule and notify the department lead.
• Knowledge of metals and their properties.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and respond to feedback professionally.
• Collaborate with the team and department lead to accommodate production schedule changes.
• Represent the company during customer, internal and ISO audits.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and the QMS, identify deviations, and assist with root cause analysis.

Mill or Swiss Openings- Direct-Hire 1st and 2nd shifts available

The Machinist is primarily responsible for the following:

• Set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments, and support maintenance of machines.
• Inspect parts to ensure they meet the required tolerances, dimensions, and surface finishes that comply with the customers requirements.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Perform machine setups to produce products, ensuring consistent results through accurate timekeeping, tool monitoring and statistical control methods.
• Complete independent parts inspections to ensure that customer requirements are being met, using various inspection methods, resources and equipment, including regular use of microscope. ·
• Identify material, technical, production and safety issues that may impact the manufacturing schedule, communicate concerns to the department Lead
• Knowledge of metals and their respective properties.
• Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond receiving instructions. Can get along with co-workers or peers and respond appropriately to feedback from a supervisor in a professional manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the team and the department lead to accommodate production schedule changes.
• Represent the company, as required, during customer, internal and ISO audits.
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and the Quality Management System (QMS), identify potential deviations, and notify the department Lead of non-conformance, assist with root cause analysis as requested.
