Job summary

TPI Staffing, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to operate and set up CNC lathes and vertical mills. The ideal candidate reads blueprints, programs and edits CNC machines, and ensures parts meet production and quality standards.

You will lead 2–3 operators, on-site Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with on-call work; experience with Haas/Okuma/Mazak is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC setup experience, especially on lathes and vertical mills.
• Experience programming and editing G-code.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.
• Strong math skills and problem-solving.
• Ability to lead 2–3 operators and work on-call schedule.

CNC Machinist Pay: $26–$30/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Must be willing to work on call

• Tsugami CNC Screw machine
• CNC Lathe Machinist, preferably with Haas and/or Okuma experience

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator to operate and set up CNC lathes and vertical milling machines. The ideal candidate will be able to read blueprints, program and edit CNC machines, inspect finished parts, and ensure production and quality standards are met. This position will also provide lead support to 2–3 operators.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machine controls, load parts, and prove programs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts.
• Program and edit CNC machines, including G-code.
• Determine dimensions, tolerances, sequences of operations, and setup requirements.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales.
• Ensure production rates and quality standards are met or exceeded.
• Lead 2–3 operators and help maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC setup experience preferred, particularly with CNC lathes and vertical milling machines.
• CNC programming experience is required.
• Experience reading and editing G-code required.
• Strong blueprint reading and geometric tolerance interpretation skills.
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other CNC accessories.
• Experience with Mastercam, Haas, Okuma, or Mazak is a plus.
• Strong basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to safely work around moving machinery.
