CNC Machinist

Job Purpose

Work involves planning, layout, setup, operation, and adjustments of manual, NC, and CNC equipment. Tasks include working from blueprints and sketches, cutting and shaping metal to precise dimensions, and communicating with engineers. Checks and inspects operations against tolerances and repairs minor machine issues.

Nature Of Duties

• Decision making in complex situations
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
• Knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5-2009
• Machine setup including planning, tooling, fixturing, and program proofreading
• Producing precise parts in production runs
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
• Maintaining equipment and documentation
• Participating in process improvements
• Adhering to safety and company regulations
• Running multiple machines as needed

Education And Experience

• 5 years’ experience in CNC Lathe with Fanuc controls
• 3 years’ experience in a job shop environment
