Job summary

McGinley Orthopaedic Innovations Inc is seeking a CNC technician to set up, program, and operate machines to manufacture precision parts in a fast-paced shop in Glenrock, WY. The role focuses on maintaining close tolerances and quality driven output.

You will read drawings, run complex setups, perform first article inspections, and communicate with the team to troubleshoot tooling and programming issues. A strong attention to detail and safe work practices are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years machining experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Capable of performing first article inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate complex machinery set-ups to tight tolerances from drawings with minimal supervision.
• Follow ISO safety and company policies.
• Communicate with supervisor and shop team.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify specs.
• Produce first article parts and adjust programming/tooling as needed.
• Read and interpret G&M codes.
• Troubleshoot fixtures, machining, and programming issues.
• Use measuring instruments with attention to detail.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Document measurements to meet quality standards.

SUMMARY

Set up, program, operate CNC/manual machines to manufacture parts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate complex set-ups for machinery safely and efficiently within close tolerances from drawings with minimal supervision


• Comply with all safety, quality (ISO), and company policies.


• Effectively communicate with supervisor and other shop team members.


• Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications.


• Produce first article parts and make necessary adjustments (programming-offsets-tooling) for a quality part.


• Can perform math and read G&M codes.


• Effectively troubleshoot fixtures, machining, and programming issues to correct


• Proficiently use measuring instruments with an emphasis on detail


• Maintain a clean and safe work environment


• Document measurements taken from machined parts to meet quality standards

EXPERIENCE:

• Machining: 2 years (Preferred)
