Summary

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines and ensuring machined parts meet quality, dimensional, and customer specifications. The position also performs grinding, assembly, soldering, and bonding tasks.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain high‑quality standards through precise measurements and adjustments to manufacturing processes.
  • Learn multiple CNC machines and inspection stations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Meet standard production output requirements.
  • Implement continuous improvement ideas and support the Continuous Improvement System.
  • Maintain and promote a safe working environment by following safety rules and policies, and implement 5S practices.
  • Contribute to the establishment of crucial quality systems.
  • Assist in the development of inspection systems and methods.
  • Practice effective teamwork and communication with fellow team members.
  • Perform other duties as required in support of the department and the company.
Supervisor Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this role do not include supervising other employees.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of CNC machining experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Conversational skill in any other language preferred.
  • Basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Beginner in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP preferred.
  • Ability to learn and apply advanced technical concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with limited information.
  • Communicate effectively with management and co‑workers to promote strong working relationships.
  • Flexible with work assignments and willing to perform any function.
  • Dependable and available to work overtime when required.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills, including GD&T per standard.
  • Proficient with precision and portable coordinate measuring equipment to take accurate measurements.
Physical Demands

Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day while frequently using hands to handle objects and communicate verbally. May need to reach, stretch, push, pull, crouch, stoop, and occasionally lift objects up to 50 pounds. Requires specific vision abilities such as close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Manufacturing plant setting with machinery use and exposure to hazards such as chemicals, heat, dust, or noise. Culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements
  • ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety‑rated glasses in specific areas.
  • Hearing protection in specific locations.
  • Ability to comply with JSA in specific areas.
