Job summary

Viant Medical is hiring a CNC Machinist for the 3rd shift to operate 5-axis CNC equipment and produce precision components. The role emphasizes setting up, aligning tools, and maintaining tight tolerances in a clean room style environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Experienced Machinist

The primary purpose of this job is to set up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment to manufacture precision parts.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple machines at same time
• Operate CNC machines and run proficiently
• Oversee set up and tool changes of CNC lathes and mills

Education/Certification

• High school graduate or equivalent

Experience

• 2 - 6 years machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including 3 years of CNC experience or journeymen machinist.

Skills/Competencies

• Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
• Ability to work with small precision parts to very close tolerances.
• Capability to use basic inspection tools and techniques.
• Capacity to understand and follow through with verbal or written instructions. Good understanding of shop math.
• Proficient with interpersonal relations, organization and communication skills.
