CNC Machinist

About the Role:

A full-service fabrication and manufacturing shop in Eastlake is seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machinist to operate and program CNC machines for custom and production machining jobs in Eastlake, OH. You’ll work on a variety of components in support of structural, mechanical, and equipment-based projects, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency.

• Pay: $18-23/hr
• Shift: Mon-Fri 7-3:30pm, OT is optional after probationary period

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for precision machining tasks.
• Load materials and monitor machine operations to meet tight tolerances.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to ensure parts are machined to spec.
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Perform machine maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and engineers to meet production deadlines.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of CNC machining experience (mill or lathe).
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with Fanuc, Haas, or other common CNC controls.
• Solid understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling for different materials (steel, aluminum, etc.).
• Experience with manual machining is a plus.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team setting.
