Job summary

This full-time role requires 5+ years of CNC experience, strong GD&T skills, and proficiency with Mazak/Mazatrol and Mastercam. Join a certified shop focused on government and commercial programs.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years CNC machining experience.
  • Experience programming CNC machines and reading drawings with GD&T.
  • Experience performing machine setups and prove-outs.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and cutting parameters.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit CNC programs using Mazatrol and CAM software.
  • Develop efficient machining strategies to optimize cycle times and tool life.
  • Review drawings to determine approach, tooling, and workholding.
  • Set up mills and lathes for production runs and load tooling.
  • Operate machines to meet specifications and monitor performance.
  • Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators.
  • Document inspection results and production data; communicate issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and leadership as needed.

Ketchie makes it easy for American manufactures by investing in machining technology, people, and processes so that they can focus on what they do best and have confidence in their supply chain.Ketchie Inc. is an AS9100 certified facility with capabilities that include collaborative robots, pallet automation, 5-axis machining, turning, milling, broaching, EDM, grinding, and gear cutting.Position Summary:The Machinist is responsible for programming, setup, operation, and inspection of precision CNC machined components to meet quality and production requirements. This role develops efficient machining programs, prepares machines for production, and ensures parts are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to specification.
