Job summary

Holt Technical Staffing is seeking a CNC Machinist for a U.S.-based aerospace manufacturer in Clearwater, FL. This role focuses on high-precision, tight-tolerance components using 3-axis vertical mills and 4-5-axis horizontal mills, including Mori Seiki and Grob machines.

You will read blueprints, use calipers and gauges, follow written and verbal instructions, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety, 5S and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be a United States citizen.
• High School diploma or equivalent education.
• Experience in setting up and operating 3 Axis vertical CNC mills and 4-5 Axis horizontal mills (Mori Seiki with Fanuc, Grob G350 with Siemens).
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures and inspection gauges.
• Must follow instructions with high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and complex drawings.
• Use calipers, micrometres and other gauges to inspect parts.
• Set up and operate 3-axis vertical and 4-5-axis horizontal CNC mills.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with safety procedures and 5S standards.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.

CNC Machinist

Our client, a leading U.S. based aerospace manufacturing company based in Clearwater, FL are currently hiring for a CNC Machinist to join their team. The company specialises in high-precision, tight-tolerance components and are known for advanced machining capabilities, strong quality standards, and continued investment in modern manufacturing technologies.

Key Responsibilities for the CNC machinist

• Must be a United States citizen
• High School diploma or equivalent education
• The ability to use basic measurement equipment: Calipers, Micrometres, Indicators, Dial Bores, Air gages and other equipment as necessary
• The ability to read simplified blueprints
• An understanding of basic mathematics
• Basic computer skills
• Have the ability to work with others as a team
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to lift 30 lbs

Skills & Experience for the CNC machinist

• Minimum 5 years' experience preferred for set-up persons
• 2 years' experience for machine operators
• Experience in setting up and operating 3 Axis Vertical CNC Mills, 4 & 5-Axis Horizontal Mills. Such as: Mori Seiki with Fanuc controls and Grob G350 with Siemens controls
• Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring heads, fixtures, inserts and other accessories
• Utilize all necessary gages and equipment to properly inspect part accuracy
• Be able to detect and adjust machines to correct any defect or problem with part setup
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and have a high attention to detail
• Knowledge of G and M codes
• Knowledge and understanding of CNC mill programs
• Maintain all records required
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Following safety, 5s and environmental procedures and regulations

• 2nd shift will receive a 10% shift differential

Hours and pay rates for the CNC Machinist:

• 1st Shift and 2nd Shift Available
• Pay range:$30 upwards per hour (depending on experience)
