Job summary

Machine Products is seeking qualified CNC and Manual Machinists for immediate openings in Carthage, MO. Shifts include four 10-hour days, with day, night, and weekend options and shift premiums.

Starting wage ranges from $20–$32 per hour, plus a full benefits package including medical, dental, life, 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, and PTO. Responsibilities include machine set-ups/changeovers, reading prints, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC equipment or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Do machine set-ups and changeovers.
• Report to the supervisor any problems or parts that would create downtime.
• Initiate action to prevent non-conformities in product/process/system.
• Keep area clean and orderly.
• Identify and record problems relating to product/process/system.
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Verify the implementation of solutions.
• Report to supervisor any recommendations to correct machine problems.
• Follow all written procedures, work instructions and quality plans.
• Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until corrected.
• Discontinue production and notify supervisor if process is out of spec.
• Conform to all Quality/Safety requirements and procedures.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Process.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Position

Machine Products has immediate openings for qualified CNC and Manual Machinists.

Work Hours

• Day shifts: Four 10‑hour days (6:00 am – 4:30 pm Mon–Thurs or Tues–Fri)
• Night shift: Four 10‑hour days (4:30 pm – 3:00 am Mon–Thurs) with $1.00 shift premium
• Weekend day shift: Three 12‑hour days (6:00 am – 6:00 pm Fri–Sun) with $2.00 shift premium & 20‑minute paid lunch

Compensation & Benefits

Starting wage $20‑32/hr with a 90‑day review, shift premiums, and a full benefits package that includes medical, dental, life, 401(k), paid vacation, holidays, and PTO.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
• Show previous experience in operating CNC equipment or related fields
• Must have cooperative attitude to work effectively with others
• Must have acceptable attendance
• Satisfactorily pass CNC aptitude test
• Must be able to move quickly from machine to machine and make necessary adjustments
• Must be able to fill out all necessary paperwork accurately
• Must be able to read and understand prints/drawings
• Must be able to use and understand basic inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc)

Primary Duties

• Do machine set‑ups and changeovers
• Report to the supervisor any problems or parts that would create costly downtime
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non‑conformity related to the product, process and/or system
• Make sure area is kept clean and orderly
• Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and to the system
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels
• Verify the implementation of solutions
• Report to the supervisor any recommendations to correct machine problems such as performance that affect quality or machine life
• Follow all written procedures, work instructions and quality plans
• Control further processing, delivery or installation of non‑conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
• Will discontinue production and notify supervisor as needed if process does not fall within specifications or is suspected to be nonconforming
• Conform to all Quality/Safety requirements and procedures
• Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process
• Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate

Requirements

• After 30 days: • Operate machinery efficiently; • Report any serious problems to the supervisor; • Accurately use and understand basic inspection tools; • Understand work instructions & quality plans for process.
• After 60 days: • Able to perform all 30‑day requirements; • Perform machine changeovers; • Inspect finished product for quality defects; • Know and understand all nonconformities and specifications.
• After 90 days: • Understand all processes involved with the position.
