CNC MACHINIST - HAAS PROGRAMMER, SETUP, AND OPERATOR
PrideStaffis seeking an experiencedCNC Machinistto operate aHaas VF2 and Haas VF4 CNC Vertical Machining Centers.In this role, you will be responsible for producing high-precision components used in medical equipment manufacturing.
This is aDIRECT HIREopportunity with a starting salary of$25-35an hr depending on experience. The schedule will beMonday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
JOB DUTIES:
- Program, Set up, operate, and adjustHaas VF2andHaas VF4CNC machines to machine precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Program or modify existing CNC programs (G-code) to optimize machining processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and work orders to determine the appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, and machining techniques.
- Perform quality checks throughout the production process using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure all parts meet tight tolerances and company quality standards.
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to correct any deviations from specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery or parts to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, operations, and adjustments for future reference.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and report any major maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to all safety standards and ensure the workspace is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Must know and have a solid understanding on the HAAS Intuitive Probing System.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience operating Haas VF2 and Haas VF4 CNC machining centers in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) and experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam) is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery noise.
- Experience working with metal materials commonly used in medical equipment manufacturing, ensuring parts meet high precision and quality standards.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
- Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
NON-NEGOTIABLES:
- MUST have experience with Haas VF2, VF4, and Mini Mill probing systems
- MUST have programming experience including Fusion 360 and/or Mastercam

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $25.00 - $35.00 Per Hour
