Description
Position Summary
This position is responsible for working efficiently under the guidance of a supervisor to carry out the repair or production operations as specified in the provided job packet. CNC Lathes, essential measuring equipment, and limited machine-specific on-the-job training shall be provided by the company for the accomplishment of such operations.
Position Duties
- Carry out CNC lathe operations as detailed in the provided job packets according to industry standards and customer specifications.
- Set up CNC lathes with the guidance of a supervisor/mentor/programmer to correctly prepare for production tasks while minimizing machine downtime.
- Load and unload parts/pipe between machine cycles.
- Maintain machine, equipment, and facilities in proper condition.
- Cooperate with QA/QC personnel to maintain acceptable product quality without unnecessarily diminishing production flow.
- Effectively communicate with the supervisor, providing updates on run times, scheduling, and all machine-related activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High school level mathematic skills.
- Knowledge of basic machine functions, safety features, and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of basic workflow and interactions with relevant departments within the workflow.
- Ability to read and interpret, with assistance, product specifications critical to the machining operation.
- Ability to make adjustments to machine offsets to maintain product dimensions within stated tolerances.
Work Environment
- Typically works in a moderately noisy environment.
- Routine exposure to the elements, including working outdoors and in a non-climate controlled building.
- Repetitive motions.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of OTJ training (Safety Features and Practices) accompanied by an endorsed training record.
- Completion of OTJ training (Basic CNC Lathe Functions) accompanied by an endorsed training record.
- Completion of OTJ training (Basic CNC Lathe Maintenance) accompanied by an endorsed training record.
Requirements
Must live around Alice, Texas.
