Job summary

Chief Industries, Inc. in Lancaster, SC, is seeking a CNC Operator to set up, program (as required), and operate one or more CNC work centers to punch, shear, or form parts. You will contribute to precision and efficiency in fabrication.

Candidates should have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with CNC equipment in manufacturing. Prior experience reading engineering drawings and working with metal fabrication is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related CNC/metal fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with fractions and decimals.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication operations and CNC methods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and modify programs on CNC machines for punching, shearing, or forming operations.
• Select and adjust machine tools, jigs, and fixtures; perform authorized maintenance as needed.
• Fabricate parts to specification using engineering drawings and precision measuring tools.
• Move materials using forklifts, hoists, overhead cranes, or manual handling.
• Accurately complete production records and maintain inventory data integrity.
