Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a Machining Technician for its client in Grafton, WI. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment for aluminum die cast components, supporting production, quality, engineering, and maintenance teams.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, with experience reading blueprints and measuring parts. This is a 3rd shift position (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM) with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred.
• Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and process sheets.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment and quality inspection procedures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment for aluminum die cast components.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues to meet specifications.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM data.
• Perform routine maintenance, tool changes, and machine adjustments.
• Support startup, changeovers, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

As a Machining Technician , you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams . The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machining Technician

Location: Grafton, WI

Shift: 3rd Shift (10:00PM to 6:00AM)

Pay Range: $28.50 to $41.00/hr

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machining equipment for aluminum die cast components.
