Job summary

The Process Control Technician role is based in Grafton, Wisconsin, and joins our client’s Engineering and Manufacturing teams to support Production, Quality, Tooling and Maintenance. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

The position operates 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday, with pay ranging from $28.50 to $41.00 per hour. Responsibilities include optimizing die casting parameters, monitoring process variables,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial production, die casting, machining, automation, maintenance, or a related environment.
• Strong understanding of process control, aluminum casting operations, hydraulic systems, thermal management, and die lubrication systems.
• Ability to analyze production and quality data, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and implement process improvements.
• Experience with process monitoring systems, manufacturing documentation, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize die casting process parameters to ensure consistent quality, productivity, and safe operation.
• Monitor critical process variables including melt temperature, die temperature, injection speeds, intensification pressure, fill time, and cycle time.
• Analyze casting defects such as porosity, cold shuts, flash, soldering, misruns, and shrinkage, performing root cause analysis to drive corrective actions.
• Support die tryouts, new product launches, production trials, and validation of process improvements.
• Train operators and setup technicians on approved process standards while supporting continuous improvement and scrap reduction initiatives.

Location: Grafton, WI

What’s the Job?
