Eaton in Irvine, CA is hiring a CNC Machining Team Lead for 1st shift. The role leads a front-line CNC team, coordinates machining activities, and drives improvements in precision and efficiency. Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of reading machining and engineering prints.
• Minimum of 5 years of manual and/or CNC machine setup experience and fixture installation.
• Ability to work on-site within 50 miles of Irvine, CA and comply with safety regulations.

Eaton’s IS AER FMCdivision is currently seeking aCNC Machining Team Lead 1st Shift to join our team in Irvine, CA! The hourly rate for this position is$40 per hour. This role is eligible for a 3% annual variable incentive pay plan.

What you’ll do:

A front-line leader of our CNC department will lead and coordinate activities of CNC Machinists. Responsible for developing and improving the precision machining, manufacturing processes, and department personnel by providing leadership and accountability for all department matters.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of reading machining and engineering prints
• Minimum of 5 years of manual and/or CNC machine setup experience and fixture installation.

This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.

• Must reside within 50 miles of Irvine, CA. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of experience in leadership role.

Position Criteria:

• Ability to walk/stand for an 8-hour shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to lift 44 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Attained Machinist II accreditations through the internal assessment process (internal applicants)
• Ability to use and operate tools and equipment consistent with this job.
• Must be familiar with production schedules.
• Working knowledge of operational practices, design, and functions.
• Must be capable of using (or learning) SAP, Microsoft Word, Excel and e-mail.
• Must have some familiarity and experience with LEAN tools.
