Job summary

Kurt J. Lesker Company in Pittsburgh seeks a CNC Supervisor to lead a team of highly skilled machinists in a low-volume, high-mix environment, delivering complex, custom-engineered parts with focus on safety and quality.

You will coach across shifts, coordinate operations, drive improvements, ensure compliance with GD&T and 6S, and partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to meet production goals and maintain a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of CNC machining experience with leadership or team lead roles.
• Associate degree, technical certification, or related experience.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes, G-code, CAM software, GD&T, CMMs, and precision inspection techniques.
• Experience with GD&T, CMMs, precision measuring equipment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate employees.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and 6S workplace organization principles.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform the physical requirements of the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop CNC machinists and manufacturing personnel across multiple shifts, assigning work based on skills, capacity, and production priorities.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
• Monitor key performance metrics and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot production and machining issues, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, quality requirements, manufacturing procedures, and 6S principles.
