Job summary

Ingersoll Rand in Alsip, IL is seeking a CNC Machining Specialist II to set up, run, and refine multi-axis mill and lathe work while owning safety and quality from first piece to last. You will prepare machines per Standard Work, verify tooling offsets, and run production to spec.

Inspect and deburr components; perform manual operations when needed to achieve print requirements. Additionally, you will select and preset the tools for upcoming jobs to reduce changeover time, update visual

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC maintenance mechanic experience.
• Proficiency in CNC tooling, CNC programming, G-code, and M-code.
• Experience with multi-axis mills and lathes.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC Mill and Lathe per work orders to meet print requirements.
• Run production to specification and verify tooling offsets.
• Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations as needed to meet print requirements.
• Update visual controls, sustain 5S, and build countermeasures to prevent recurrence of issues.
• Engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and 5 Whys to drive continuous improvement; troubleshoot equipment abnormalities and champion safety.
