Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a hands-on CNC Machinist to set up and run multiple machines on days shift in a Milton area facility. You will program low-to-mid complexity parts with Mazatrol and G/M codes, verify dimensions with precision tools, and document SPC data while ensuring ISO quality standards.

The role requires 2+ years of CNC experience, blueprint reading skills, and the ability to collaborate with teammates to hit production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of hands-on CNC operation in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Able to read BOMs, work instructions, blueprints and drawings.
• Problem-solving mindset with good communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs individually and 70 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC Horizontal, CNC Vertical, and CNC Turning machines; operate manual lathes, mills, and grinders as needed.
• Program jobs of low to moderate complexity; learn higher complexity with guidance using Mazatrol and G/M codes.
• Follow standard work for setup, in-process inspection, and deburring; refine as needed.
• Select tooling/workholding; interpret drawings to manufacture parts to spec.
• Conduct ISO-compliant inspections; document results in SPC workbook.
• Identify defects, adjust processes, and escalate issues to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs; escalate major issues.
• Maintain accurate records of setups, run times, material usage, and deviations.

Your day at a glanceStart your morning on the shop floor in Ivyland, setting up CNC equipment for the days work orders. You will load tooling, check offsets, and verify programs in Mazatrol or G and M code with guidance as needed. As parts come off the machines, you will validate dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and gauges, record SPC data, and keep production flowing by troubleshooting minor issues and performing routine maintenance.
