Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with basic machine shop practices and setup of CNC/ conventional tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret shop drawings.
• Capable of performing first-piece inspection and measurements with gauges.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and install tooling for standard parts production as directed.
• Operate machine tool after setup and verify conformance to specs.
• Instruct other operators in proper operation/setup when needed.
• Select and replace indexable inserts and sharpen cutting tools as required.
• Make minor CNC program adjustments to maintain tolerances.
• Change cutting oils and lubricate machinery to prevent issues.
• Care for hand tools and tooling, store per shop procedures.
• Record production information as directed.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area.
