Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience operating a CNC lathe or machining center.
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings and make decisions on part quality and offsets.
• Experience with Okuma or FANUC controls strongly preferred.
• Proficient with measuring tools such as calipers, dial indicators, plug gauges.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines (lathe, grinder, heat-treat related equipment) for metal components.
• Set up, maintain, and adjust machines; monitor oil and coolant levels.
• Read blueprints and inspect parts to ensure quality before leaving the process.
• Train new operators after initial job-specific training.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and escalate safety/quality issues.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and support continuous improvement.
