Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing is seeking skilled CNC Machine Operators to join our team in Wisconsin. Candidates will operate CNC machines, set up operations, and inspect parts using precision gauges. Training will cover offset adjustments, tool installation, and strict adherence to drawings and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Experience with G&M Code is a plus.
• Experience with CNC grinding equipment (Walter, Waida, Wire EDM, Fanuc, Sodick, ANCA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and make offset adjustments.
• Learn how to setup CNC machines.
• Identify and use the correct tools while maintaining tight measurements and tolerances.
• Follow detailed instructions and operating procedures.
• Install/change tools and correctly position materials in the CNC machines.
• Adjust machine settings and fixtures to ensure the part meets requirements.
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect finished parts.
• Read part drawings/blue prints.
