Job summary

The CNC Machinist Internship at Southern Illinois Crankshaft, Inc. offers an entry-level path to hands-on manufacturing skills in precision machining. You will train with experienced machinists and participate in continuous improvement, with wage progression based on skill and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; enrollment in machining or related program preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, basic math, and eager to learn machining processes.
• Ability to read simple instructions, inspect parts, and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CNC machine setup, loading, and monitoring machining cycles.
• Read blueprints and part specifications to ensure correct manufacture.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to inspect tolerances and quality.
