Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis-based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking a CNC Machine Tool Repair Technician for 1st shift to join its Maintenance Engineering team in Indianapolis. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining CNC machines and related systems to keep production running smoothly.

You will work across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines, with exposure to Fanuc, Mazatrol, and Siemens controls, and use SAP to document maintenance

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated CNC machining equipment maintenance experience (repair, troubleshooting, and adjustment of CNC machine tools).
  • Thorough knowledge of PLC and CNC controls, ladder logic, and electrical systems up to 480V.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift/push/pull, and work in a non-climate-controlled factory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose problems, dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble all types of CNC machine tools, including servo drives, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot PLC and CNC controls using ladder logic across Fanuc, Mazatrol, and Siemens platforms.
  • Develop, build, fabricate, and fit parts to rebuild special machines, fixtures, and attachments.
  • Perform electrical installation and repair up to 480V, and maintain cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment.
  • Read and work from engineering drawings, schematics, and blueprints to execute precision repairs and adjustments.
  • Utilize SAP and other computer systems to document maintenance activities and track equipment history.

As our new CNC Machine Tool Repair Technician - 1st Shift, you will be repairing, maintaining, and performing OEM-level service on CNC machine tools and related mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems within our Indianapolis manufacturing facility. What you will be doing
As a key part of the Maintenance Engineering team, you'll create impact by Keeping our CNC machining operations running reliably and efficiently, directly enabling Peerless Pump to deliver the high-quality pump products our customers depend on.
Your main responsibilities include:
  • Diagnose problems, dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble all types of CNC machine tools, including servo drives, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

What makes you a great fit

Above all, you are a hands-on CNC machinery maintenance professional with strong diagnostic skills, deep knowledge of machine construction and repair methods, and the ability to work across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

We would also imagine that you have:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Demonstrated CNC machining equipment maintenance experience (repair, troubleshooting, and adjustment of CNC machine tools)
  • Thorough knowledge of PLC and CNC controls, ladder logic, and electrical systems up to 480V
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift/push/pull, and work in a non-climate-controlled factory environment
It is a plus if you also:
  • 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing CNC machine tools with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Siemens controls knowledge
  • Additional technical training, college credits, or degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Veterans with MOS experience maintaining and repairing sophisticated or precision mechanical systems are strongly encouraged to apply
  • LabView software experience

The salary range for this position is $57,400-$76,050 (paid hourly, non-exempt). Individual pay will be determined based on market location and the candidate’s profile. The range listed is just one component of Peerless Grundfos’s total compensation and benefits package for employees. Total compensation includes paid time off, paid holidays, merit increases, bonuses, and employee stock purchase programs, etc. Peerless Grundfos salary rates are benchmarked and reflect the target for new hire salaries for the position in Indianapolis, Indiana.
