Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect in Peabody, MA is seeking a Machine Shop Apprentice Co-op to support CNC lathe/milling operations using FANUC controls. You will learn to set up machines, program simple operations, and help maintain quality documentation while contributing to on-time delivery.

You will work with the machine shop team, follow ISO/AS9100 quality practices, and participate in safety programs. This paid co-op role provides hands-on training and exposure to precision manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a co-op program at a technical school approved by Aptiv Interconnect.
• Ability to read and write the English Language.
• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds and standing during shift hours.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures.
• Program and operate CNC machines per job orders.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Document actions to add value and shorten cycle times.
• Perform preventative maintenance and organize tooling.
