Janicki Industries is seeking a CNC Machine Programmer for our Layton, Utah facility. The role plans machining sequences for 3-5 axis tools and creates tool paths using Unigraphics NX, with emphasis on aerospace-grade parts and tight tolerances.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years experience, and is a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident. On-site or remote work is possible, with travel as required to Layton locations.

The Layton Utah facility specializes in machining the largest most complex structures built from carbon fiber composites and aluminum for the aerospace and space exploration markets. This position can be either remote or on-site in Layton, Utah.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The NC Programmer plans machining sequences and fixturing for 3-5 axis machine tools.

The following essential job functions are performed as an NC Programmer:

• Determines methods, cutter types and cutting parameters depending on a variety of materials (composites, epoxies, steel, aluminum, etc.) and design specifications
• Designs 3-D computer models, drawings and specifications for fabrication of fixturing elements
• Creates 3-5 axis tool paths utilizing Unigraphics CAD/CAM software, preferably Simens NX
• Provides input in production tracking software
• Works with process engineers on planning of manufacturing process to ensure that quality and design objectives are achieved
• Creates shop documentation for setup of the machines complying with ISO 9000 standards
• Analyzes laser-tracking data to assure quality of the setup, when applicable
• Works with the machinists to make sure setup and machining procedures are followed
• General knowledge of standard G-Code language, machine offsets, and part location
• Setup and operate the following equipment. CNC and manual mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders, waterjets and band saws
• Composite and Metallics Machining
• Reads and understands engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, and work orders
• Accurate use of precision measuring instruments (ie: micrometers, calipers, etc,) and working to tight tolerances
• Visually inspect and deburr parts. Attention to detail and quality is required
• If remote, travel to the Layton Location will be required at certain times to be determined
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.

MUST BE U.S. CITIZEN OR LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT FOR THIS POSITION.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or GED required, college level or trade school education preferred
• Five or more years of experience in related field may be substituted for education
• Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Wage range for this role is between$27 - $58an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching,
