Job summary

1X is seeking a CNC Machine Park Intern to support daily operations in our Hayward, CA manufacturing environment. You will work with experienced operators and programmers to learn machining, inspection, and shop organization, building foundational skills for a robotics-focused operation.

You will read part drawings, interpret basic G-code, assist with machine setup, maintenance, and maintain a clean, safe workshop as you grow toward a full-time technical role in robotics manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in manufacturing and a desire to learn CNC operations from the ground up.
• Comfortable working with machines, tools, and in a hands-on environment.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to contributing consistently.
• Eagerness to grow into a full-time technical role in a robotics-focused manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations including machine setup, part loading, cleaning, and basic tool handling
• Observe and assist with CNC machining, inspection, and routine maintenance tasks
• Learn to read part drawings and interpret basic G-code
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment
• Take on progressively more technical responsibilities as experience grows
