Overview

Ensure the production of high-quality parts by operating machinery efficiently, performing inspections, maintaining equipment, and meeting daily production targets in a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, and turning.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan machining operations.
• Load raw materials and parts onto the machines, ensuring correct placement and alignment.
• Monitor machine operations to detect issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Continually inspect and measure finished products using precision tools to ensure they meet specifications.
• Check and ensure all daily maintenance of machine is done and fluid levels are full.
• Complete tool changes according to tool change schedule and document.
• Ensure production targets are met, reduce downtimes and scrap.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Document and report production data, including quantities, times, and any issues encountered.

Qualifications

• Post secondary education
• 3 years related work experience preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Basic math skills
• Knowledge of SPC and the ability to analyze data

• Experience: Machine Operator: 3 years (required)
