Job summary

R&R Tool, Inc. in Winchester, OH is seeking an experienced Swiss CNC Machine Operator for the 1st shift (Mon-Thu 6:00 am - 4:30 pm with overtime on Fridays).

The role focuses on setting up and running Swiss lathe machines, maintaining ISO process adherence, and inspecting tight-tolerance parts to print specifications. You will read prints, select appropriate feeds and speeds, and use micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions daily.

Qualifications

• Education: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must maintain an excellent attendance record.
• Must understand ISO and its process within the company.
• Must understand the machining process and read complex part drawings.
• Must read dimensions and tolerances and interpret micrometers/dial calipers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Swiss Lathe screw machines with automatic indexing and feeding.
• Monitor machinery during runs and inspect parts to print daily using inspection equipment.
• Position/secure tools, select speeds/feeds, and adjust controls for proper operation.
• Read and interpret complex drawings and verify tolerances on finished parts.

We are continuing to grow rapidly and are currently seeking aSwiss CNC Machine Operatoron our 1st shift.

1stShift - M-Th, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm,plus any overtime on Friday.

Pay will vary, depending on experience

Position Summary:Set up and operate Swiss Lathe screw machine(s) equipped with automatic indexing and feeding mechanisms to machine metal bar stock. Monitor machinery for any problems during the production run, positions work pieces, and inspects parts to print on a daily basis using various types of inspection equipment.

Education: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

General Requirements:

• Must maintain an excellent attendance record.


• Must have a general understanding of ISO and its process within the company.


• Must have an understanding of the machining process.


• Must be able to position and secure tools in tool holders.


• Must be able to set cutting speeds and feed rates.


• Must be able to move control to cycle machine through settings, stopping machine and adjusting tool positions and machine controls to allow for operating factors such as timing, clearance between moving parts, and chip removal.


• Must be able to run parts to print on a daily basis.


• Must be able to read and interpret complex part drawings.


• Must be able to read and interpret dimensions and tolerances.


• Must be able to use and read micrometers and dial calipers accurately as well as other measuring equipment necessary (ex. Vision systems, comparators, height gages).


• Must be able to position and secure specified collets, bushings, and stock pushers onto stock feeding mechanism and load bar stock into feeding mechanism.


• Must be competent in inspection and first piece inspections.


• Must be able to calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics.
