Job summary

Cooper Steel South, LLC is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to produce machined parts by setting up and operating CNC equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards. The weekend shift (Friday–Sunday, 5:30 AM–5:30 PM) includes a $2 extra shift premium.

The role requires attention to tolerances and ongoing record-keeping. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent and prior CNC/machining experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior CNC/machining experience preferred.
• Able to read blueprints and set up tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts.
• Analyze work orders, blueprints, materials and parameters.
• Enter instructions, set tool offsets and compensation.
• Verify settings and inspect first-run parts within tolerances.
• Maintain safe operations and document actions across shifts.
• Perform daily tool and equipment inspection.
• Overtime may be required.
