Job summary

Frey Consulting Group seeks a CNC Machine Operator in Greensboro, NC to set up and run CNC mills and lathes, load and secure fixtures, and read blueprints precisely. You will monitor tooling wear, adjust settings, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

The role requires the ability to follow technical instructions, maintain equipment, and uphold safety standards, with opportunities for advancement into CNC setup and programming paths. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or technical training is required.
Experience in CNC, machining, manufacturing, or machine-operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or other computer-controlled equipment.
Load raw materials and secure workpieces, fixtures, and cutting tools.
Read blueprints, job specs, measurements, and production instructions.
Enter or load approved programs and adjust speeds, feeds, tooling, and settings.
Monitor machines for vibrations, wear, or cutting issues.
Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges.
Make minor adjustments to keep parts within tolerances.
Record production quantities, inspection results, material usage, and machine issues.
Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
Follow safety procedures and keep a clean workstation.
