Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator in Peru, IL. The role starts with training on first shift for two weeks, then transitions to a permanent 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM).

Pay is $19.00 per hour, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits. Ideal candidates have CNC milling/lathe experience, familiarity with Fanuc or similar controls, CAM/G-code knowledge, and strong measurement skills.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills, lathes or similar machining equipment.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other CNC control systems preferred.
• Understanding of CAM software and G-code programming concepts.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and tooling setups knowledge.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments like calipers or micrometers.
• Basic math for measurements and tolerances.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and machining centers per specifications.
• Use CAM software and read G-code for machining operations.
• Operate auxiliary equipment as needed.
• Inspect finished parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance.
• Document production activities and quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Move materials using forklifts and material handling tools.
• Follow all safety procedures and standards.
