Job summary

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and power equipment according to specific instructions.
• Manually set up each machine or pull up the computer program for CNC equipment.
• Run material through machines, check for accuracy and quality.
• Perform calibrations and preventive maintenance on machines.
• Ensure correct materials are used for each product component.
• Identify and use correct tooling for each operation.
• Support 5S in the area.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support Quality and Safety Policies and company guiding principles.

Job Description

The Machine Operator has a focus on machining components for all manufacturing operations.Machines a wide variety of parts that make up the various products we offer in the marketplace.

• Operate machines and power equipment according to specific instructions for those machines power equipment.
• Manually set up each machine or pull up the computer program in the case of CNC equipment for parts production.
• Run material through the machines checking for accuracy and quality.
• Perform timely and regular calibrations and perform preventive maintenance on machines you are responsible for.
• Insure that the correct materials are being used for each product component.
• Identify and use correct tooling to perform each operation.
• Help ensure that 5S for the area are met.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Support the Quality Policy and Safety Policy.
• Support the Vision and Guiding Principles of Kimball International and the facility Priorities of Focus and management policies.
