Job summary

Custom Cylinders, Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to join our precision machining team in Cary, NC. You will operate Haas, Okuma, and other CNC mills and lathes to produce parts to print specifications, performing daily maintenance and quality checks.

The ideal candidate reads blueprints, measures with precision tools, and understands basic shop math. A high school diploma or GED is required, and you should be detail-oriented and safety-conscious to thrive in our continuous improvement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.
• Basic shop math including decimals/fractions.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings to understand tolerances.
• Operate CNC machines to meet parts per hour requirements.
• Perform quality checks and make necessary adjustments to hold dimensions and tolerances.
• Make necessary offset and program adjustments or request program updates from programmer in order to hold dimensions and tolerances to print specifications.
• Take proper care of all tools and equipment.
• Performs daily preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.

Summary:

Custom Cylinders, Inc. is seeking a CNC Operator to work with an experienced team in a dynamic and action-oriented Continuous Improvement environment. This position will be responsible for the operation of CNC mills and lathes to produce parts to print specifications. Machine types include Haas, Hardinge, Okuma and Takisawa lathes and mills. An ideal candidate for this role should pay strong attention to detail, is committed to workplace safety, maintains a constant quality mindset in all work, and is ready to learn.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities
