Job summary

Kondex Corporation is seeking a CNC Machine Operator II to join the Machining department in San Diego, CA. This role supports the 3rd shift with responsibilities from loading parts to basic inspections and tool changes, and may involve training fellow associates.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and the ability to read and follow written instructions. CNC or manual machining experience is preferred but not required, with a team-focused mindset.

Kondex Corporation is looking for a CNC Machine Operator II to join the Machining department.

Current opening on 3rd shift

3rd shift hours: Sunday - Thursday 10:00 pm - 6:00 am

Training may occur on 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Hours can fluctuate depending on customer requirements and training needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Load and unload CNC machine with parts.
• Perform basic inspections using hand-held measuring devices and table mounted gages.
• Perform basic tool changes, such as cutting inserts, drill bits, and countersinks.
• Close orders in computer system.
• Perform 5S activities, not including preventative maintenance on equipment.
• May assist in training full time, part time, and temporary associates in the department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience using basic hand tools
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions. Prior blueprint reading experience is preferred, but not required
• Knowledge or experience of CNC or manual machining is preferred, but not required
• Ability to work in a team environment
