Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Spokane, WA is hiring for a motivated entry level Machine Shop Operator I in our Machine Shop. You will learn and be responsible for the set-up, calibration and operation of machines used in the production process. Training provided on the job.

The Machine Shop handles densified carbon material and requires sound math, attention to detail, and a mechanically inclined mind. Work is 4 on/4 off, 12-hour shifts, with day to night rotation every 6 weeks.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing or related experience.
• Experience with G&M codes, macro programming and editing process preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines and run parts (training provided).
• Follow a weekly Preventative Maintenance process.
• Follow applicable WI/SOP/Reference documents.
• Use precision gauging tools (CMM, micrometers, calipers).
• Perform daily machine inspections and calibration verification.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and comply with safety policies.
