Position Summary:

The CNC Operator B operates assigned CNC Mill/Turn machines to produce parts that meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawing. This includes conducting basic machine changeovers and accurately completing quality control documentation and inspection sheets. This individual collaborates with other machine operators and management to ensure good manufacturing practices, inspection techniques, SOPs, and safety regulations are adhered to every day.

Essential Functions:

  • Measures, inspects, loads/unloads parts from CNC machine
  • Implements dimensional adjustments (offsets) as needed and as instructed
  • Accurately completes all quality control documentation and inspection sheets
  • Inspects product according to verbal and/or written instructions such as part drawings, traveler, work instructions, and process specifications
  • Embraces good manufacturing practices and inspection techniques daily; follows all SOPs and safety regulations
  • Adheres to the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
  • Ensures compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations by completing training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
  • Represents the company professionally and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices in all interactions

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
  • Able to perform visual inspection with the use of a microscope on small parts; strong attention to detail
  • Intermediate math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas a plus
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little or no supervision; well organized and able to multi-task
  • Team player, open to new ideas and teamwork, self-motivated with a willingness to continually strive to increase personal knowledge and value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
