Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for 2nd and 3rd shifts. You will operate semi-automatic CNC equipment, follow standard coding and data, and learn setup processes while maintaining tight tolerances.

You will inspect work with precision measuring tools, report malfunctions, and adhere to safety regulations in a clean, orderly work area. Prior CNC machining experience is preferred, with knowledge of grinding equipment such as Walter, Ewag, ANCA, or Vollmer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations.
• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Preferred candidates have previous experience operating CNC grinding equipment such as Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida, Vollmer, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow directions.
• 1+ years of CNC Machining.

Responsibilities

• May assist with setups or proving of program.
• Under supervision, work procedures and products are subject to check and inspection.
• Follow safety regulations and keep a clean, orderly work area.
