Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Carbide Manufacturing is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join our growing team in Wisconsin. The role involves operating CNC machines, learning setup procedures, and using precision measuring tools to verify tolerances. Experience with Walter/Waida/Wire EDM and Fanuc controls is a plus.

Responsibilities include tool installation, offset adjustments, and reading blueprints. A $2,000 hiring bonus is offered and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math, logical reasoning and problem solving.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions.
• G-code experience is a plus.
• Experience with CNC grinding equipment (Walter, Waida, Wire EDM, Fanuc, Sodick, ANCA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and make offset adjustments.
• Learn how to setup CNC machines.
• Identify and use the correct tools while maintaining tight measurements and tolerances.
• Follow detailed instructions and operating procedures.
• Install/change tools and position materials in the CNC machines.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure parts meet requirements.
• Use precision measuring equipment to inspect finished parts.
• Read part drawings/blueprints.
