Job Overview:

The CNC Machine Operator is an experienced machine operator who is disciplined, creative and an excellent problem solver who will thrive in our lean manufacturing environment. A successful candidate is a reliable individual who is able to read blueprints and hold tight tolerances with a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities:

*Follow Standard Work Machine set up, running parts and preventative maintenance (PM).
*Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations and/or operate other equipment, including the selection and presetting of tools which will be required for the next scheduled job.
*Update and maintain all visual controls and Create and/or support countermeasures and operate in and maintain a clean and safe environment.
*Participate and engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and '5 Whys' problem-solving exercises.
*Resolve and/or report equipment abnormalities.
*Follow company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co-workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.

Requirements:

* At least 2+ (two) or more years of CNC maintenance mechanic experience
* At least 2+ (two) or more years navigating CNC controls including OSP, Fanuc, Haas controls.
* At least 2+ (two) or more years of experience troubleshooting/repairing and training others on turret alignment, spindle/motor replacements, and other machine components rebuilds.
* At least 2+ (two) or more years repairing and installing various voltages as needed for CNC equipment.
* At least 2+ (two) or more years designing and implementing new hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* At least 2+ (two) or more years of experience identifying, developing and performing required daily/weekly/monthly/semi-annual and annual maintenance on all CNC equipment.

Preferences:

* Proficiency in Fanuc robots a plus
* Proficiency in simple fabrication and welding applications

Physical Demands:

* Ability to lift a maximum of 40 lbs.
* Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
* Works within a manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, heat, cold, fumes, and chemicals

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:

This position will be fully site based at our facility in Alsip, IL.
Starting Pay will range from $22.75 - $26.00per hour depending on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.

We proudly partner with District No. 8 of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers with a closed shop, which means that all hourly employees are union members.

* New employees are regarded as probationary for the first 60 working days of their employment.
* After probation, the employee will join the union with an initiation fee and monthly dues.
