_Your tasks_

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Operate CNC machining equipment following a production schedule.
• Accurately label parts.
• Stamp parts as needed.
• Move finished parts to the proper areas.
• Keep the machine filled with coolant.
• Ensure refractometer readings are within acceptable levels.
• Monitor and fill the way oil reservoir.
• Maintain a clean workstation adhering to 5S standards.
• Program and machine new fixtures.
• Train new employees.
• Program and machine prototype parts and new jobs.

THE ENVIRONMENT

• Safety is our highest priority; adhere to safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing PPE such as safety-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection (optional).
• This is a 1st shift position, working 7:00am – 3:00pm, with overtime as needed.
• The environment is climate-controlled; exposure includes forklifts, pedestrian traffic, and moderate noise.
• The role involves physical tasks, including lifting and machinery operation, with comprehensive training provided.
• ContiTech USA, LLC in Valparaiso, Indiana supports the trades through its Registered Apprenticeship Program for emerging Machinists.

Pay Transparency

The hourly rate ranges from $16.00 to $40.00, with eligibility for a quarterly incentive and shift differentials of $2.00/hour for second shift. Pay depends on skills, experience, and market factors.
