Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate multi-axis machining centers for window and door manufacture. You will read blueprints, interpret work orders, and ensure dimensional accuracy while maintaining safe, efficient production.

The role emphasizes quality workmanship, daily machine maintenance, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. Join a team focused on precision and reliability.

Formación

• Introductory skill level in CNC machining.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32” accuracy.
• Appetite for a mechanical job role striving to deliver OEE (Optimal Equipment Effectiveness).
• Detail-oriented experience and computer familiarity.

Responsabilidades

• Prioritize safety as a core principle.
• Interpret work orders and blueprints to determine machining requirements.
• Set-up and operate multi-axis CNC machining centers.
• Machine quality parts for window & door manufacture.
• Perform quality workmanship with dimensional accuracy.
• Inspect completed parts according to specifications.
• Document and report productivity and non-conforming records.
• Perform secondary machining operations as needed.
• Maintain daily maintenance activities to machines as prescribed.
• Maintain a clean and orderly machines and workstations.
• Participate in continuous improvement culture.
• Collaborate professionally with others to maintain a healthy working relationship.
• All other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

Qualification/Education Requirements

• Introductory skill level in CNC machining
• Ability to utilize various machine-shop measuring instruments helpful
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32” accuracy
• Appetite for a mechanical job role striving to deliver OEE (Optimal Equipment Effectiveness)
• Machining experience helpful
• Detail-oriented experience
• Computer familiarity
