Job summary

Ludlow Mfg Inc is seeking a machine operator in Illinois to produce machined parts per instruction and monitor quality during production. You will validate parts against prints and ensure equipment operates correctly.

The role requires hands-on experience with machining equipment and measurement tools, and a commitment to safety, accuracy and a clean, organized workspace. Training follows after hire, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years' experience operating machining equipment.
• 2–3 years' experience with measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Measure parts for conformance to print.
• Report quantities produced into ERP system.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform Daily/Weekly Preventative Maintenance as assigned.
• Performs other duties as apparent and/or assigned.
• Model the right behavior in terms of initiative, compliance, moral character and work ethic to create teamwork and mutual respect amongst employees.

Job description

Produce Machined parts per instruction. Monitor parts being produced, validate quality of parts being produced, monitor equipment is performing as expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Measure parts for conformance to print.
• Report quantities produced into ERP system.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform Daily/Weekly Preventative Maintenance as assigned
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
• Model the right behavior in terms of initiative, compliance, moral character (honor, integrity, and courage) and work ethic to create teamwork and mutual respect amongst employees.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 to 3 years’ experience operating machining equipment.
• 2 to 3 years’ experience with measuring tools.

Preferred:

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, product and component specifications, data sheets and procedure manuals.

Computer Skills and Other Equipment

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of electronic equipment. Will be required to use computer, micrometers, calipers, and height gage.
