Job summary

Protomet Corporation in Oak Ridge seeks a CNC Machining team member to operate advanced equipment, load raw aluminum parts, fixture them, and run multiple CNC machines to keep production moving. You’ll read drawings and work to meet the engineering schedule with accuracy and speed. We value safety, punctuality, and a positive attitude.

Experience helps, but we also develop people in-house. Expect a Friday–Sunday shift from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC machining is helpful but Protomet develops employees in-house.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Load raw aluminum parts and fixture them to pallets.
• Operate multiple CNC machines and maintain high production pace.
• Read drawings to verify client specifications and instructions.
• Meet production goals according to the engineering schedule.
• Communicate needs for stock material to the Fabrication department.
